Stephen McCafferty is Professor Emeritus in Economics at Ohio State University.  Professor McCafferty joined the Department of Economics in 1976, upon completion of his graduate work at Brown University.  He also served as Editor of the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking from 1983-1992.

Dr. McCafferty has published over 25 articles in peer reviewed journals including the American Economic Review,Journal of Political Economy, Quarterly Journal of Economics,Econometrica,Journal of Economic Theory and International Economic Review.  Topic areas have included macroeconomic theory, microeconomic theory, international finance labor economics, industrial organization and public finance.  He has also published a graduate-level textbook, Macroeconomic Theory.
